Reaktor Japan is now a certified Great Place to Work – for the second year in a row!
In September 2023, a survey was sent to our colleagues at Reaktor Japan. It consisted of 68 questions and two open-ended questions and covered topics such as compensation competitiveness, professional development, and diversity, to name a few.
We’re very proud to be recognized, both internally and externally, thanks to our colleagues who’ve provided honest feedback in multiple categories.
"When I heard about being nominated as a Great Place to Work, I realized that it is exactly what it sounds like. I am more than happy to work with this great team and this award proves it. The joy of achieving results together as a team is unparalleled, and I am delighted to be in an environment where growth is not only encouraged but celebrated. I would like to thank my colleagues and all team members across all our international offices and look forward to continuing to work together to sustain our great place to work experience,” says Risa Yamao, a Senior service designer for the Japan office.
We’re very proud of the following statements:
Statements where we scored 100%:
→ Management trusts people to do a good job without watching over their shoulders.
→ People here are treated fairly regardless of their sexual orientation.
→ People here are treated fairly regardless of their race.
→ Reaktor is a physically safe place to work.
→ You can count on people to cooperate.
Us vs. other Great Place To Work companies
When we first conducted the survey in 2022, we scored 82% on compensation. These honest answers allowed us to address what needed to be addressed, which allowed us to achieve a score of 92%, ten percentage points higher than the year before. Over the course of the year, it gave us an opportunity to re-evaluate our salary structure and how raises were ultimately determined for our colleagues.
Another highlight for us was the characteristic findings of Reaktor. Based on the survey results, three characteristics were displayed in order from top to bottom, where we were relatively strong compared to other companies of the same size. These findings capture direct, anonymous feedback from our employees.
Key highlights for us were that over 90% of participating employees agreed with the following statements, whereas the other top 100 certified companies scored a little over 70%.
→ People look forward to coming to work at Reaktor.
→ Management does a good job of assigning and coordinating people.
→ People here are paid fairly for the work they do.
The Great Place to Work Certification is a validation of our culture, and becoming certified in Japan once again means recognizing our excellent work environment. It reflects our transparency in our processes, how we collaborate, and our alignment with the company's culture and values. It also reflects how we care for our employees, always focusing on people, valuing internal talent, promoting diversity and inclusion, and creating an inclusive environment where our employees can be who they are.
Reaktor’s communities in Finland have received the same certification multiple times. In 2022, we were proud to receive the same acknowledgment for our Amsterdam community and, in the summer of 2023, for Reaktor Lisbon.
